Michael McKeown, owner and lead developer of Wine Country Web Services, is widely known in the local Napa Valley business community.  Michael is active with the local chamber of commerce, participates regularly in the 'Connect 4 Lunch' program, is president of the business development organization 'Napa Success Connection', is president of Napa Valley Fly Fishers, sits on the board of St. Apollinaris Catholic Church, sits on the board of the Northern California Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers helping to preserve Northern California's fisheries, is the originator of Napa County Go Local, a local web portal for businesses to list themselves as supporting sustainable business practices and Buy Local, and volunteers for the American Cancer Society and is co-chair for the Napa Relay For Life fund raiser.

Michael is proud to be a Freemason and is a member of the Napa Valley Lodge, Lodge #93 in St. Helena.

Michael has a lot of extracurricular interests.  Among them, Michael enjoys fly fishing and works hard to preserve our fisheries through conservation and education efforts.  Michael is an amateur astronomer and is a docent at Mt. Diablo state park for astronomy.  Michael is building a new large telescope, about 7 feet long and nearly 2 feet in diameter.  He also is an accomplished designer, builder, and pilot of radio control slope sailplanes, and had a business for about 8 years building model gliders called Performance Composites.  Michael enjoys shooting airguns, has shot competitively, and founded Northern California Airgun Shooters Association, which he managed for about 9 years.  He enjoys gardening, and is manager of the community garden Shelter Creek Community Garden, a community garden currently of 12 plots, but about to be expanded to 15.  Michael especially enjoys aviation, but that is an expensive interest and he doesn't fly often.
